The last week of July 2016 in Gastonia, NC hosted by Carolina Premier FC and first week of August in south Charlotte, NC hosted by Queen City Mutiny there is an opportunity to meet and be trained by Italian UEFA licensed soccer coaches that work with Lazio youth in Italy.  Lazio is well known for their Primavera (15-19yr old) youth accademy success as best in the league in 2013 and with Coppa Italia victories in 2014 and 2015.

 

These coaches are available for only a short period of time due to their obligations in Italy.  This is the third year coaches will come to Charlotte to hold a camp and this year will include the director of coaching responsible for all of the Lazio youth academy.

 

Two seperate weeks of day camp sessions from 9am - 2pm, Monday - Friday with the first to be held July 25-29 @ Martha Rivers Park in Gastonia, NC for rising U8-U15 boys and girls 

and August 1-5 2016 at Raintree Soccer Field next to Arboretum off Pineville-Mathews Rd. in South Charlotte for rising U8-U13 boys.

The soccer experience will be professional like at an European soccer youth academy with official uniform kits and evaluations, but with a fun Italian flair.  Many participants have enjoyed being involved for the high level soccer training, due to their Italian ancestry, or just a love of what is Italian.  Multiple first and second generation local Italians with calcio fever are helping to organize the camp, provide added services, and host the coaches while they are in town.  Funds collected are used only to cover coaches expenses and field costs.

 

There are also Italian players that have shown interest in coming to the USA and there is the opportunity for talented American players to visit and train in Italy.
